We’ve been following a bit of a staggered schedule for recording; the way it works out means that we record different parts for different songs on some days. So, yesterday we mixed the first song of the “Spice Sessions”. (The first three songs we recorded earlier are being produced and mixed by different people up in mainland Japan - the current batch of six songs we are mixing and producing ourselves with Ito-kun as the engineer.)

It’s exciting and a bit nerve-wracking to be focusing on the mix in such detail, but I think we’ve got a good method and everyone seems to be comfortable with each other’s suggestions, which is a big deal.

The bottom line is I’ve been listening to the mix all day long and I’m very happy with it - tomorrow is more recording and I’m wondering what comments will be made now that everyone else has had an entire day to do the same thing.
