Trademarked Color
I was reading an interesting post, and I noticed the mention that the Dow Chemical Company has a trademarked color, Blue.
Does this mean no one else can use this shade of blue?

We are pretty much done with the first round of pre-pro and are tentatively planning on starting actual recording next month in Tokyo. While there is still just a little bit of discussion left on the arrangement of one particular song, the first EP stuff is pretty much done…I hope! This is sure slow […]
Well, Opera is now free. I got it a few weeks ago when they were running the 10th anniversary giveaway and have been trying it out as my main browser ever since. (Second used is Firefox, I can’t remember the last time I had to use IE).
Opera is not a clear winner over Firefox. There […]
Been busy lately, but not on anything interesting. There’s a few sick people in the band, so we haven’t practiced in a week - so nothing to report there. I haven’t seen any good movies lately (although we are going to try to go see a couple in the new few days.)
And although it might […]
Right now, we don’t have any more live shows scheduled - although I’m sure that it won’t stay that way; we already almost lined up one more except one member couldn’t make it on that date.
For the most part, I like that - we realy need to be working on the EP, and not so […]
We are at Human Stage tonight with Barbell (from mainland), and a few other local bands. A little cool note about the event - I saw it being advertised on some television show this morning - I don’t know the show, because I wasn’t really watching.
Anyway, that was a little cool.
We’ve also got a little […]
Tamitam has redone her blog, and now it’s pretty much all about our cats.
All the text is in that heathen tongue, but the pictures are snice enough - if you like cats. They are not in any particular order, I don’t know why she picks the one she does - but she has gotten a […]
We watched Kung Fu Hustle today - this move rocks hard - watch it!
It’s kinda like a Kung Fu version of Army of Darkness, because it has cool over-the-top action, slapstick humor, references to other films, and, although it’s obviously not too serious about itself, it still sets up a good story and puts a […]
It looks like the typhoon is still on track to hit us, so we’ve rented a few DVDs, and are settling in.
Tonight, we watched Premonition, a “J-Horror” flick that Tamitam picked. It was mama, which means OK. It wasn’t much of a horror, though.
I also watched Super Troopers, which I had heard was funny. And […]
Microsoft has had an Anti-Spyware tool available (in Beta), for some time now.
There are two big problems with this:
(1) The average user trusts Microsoft - that is, they feel that if all they install is Microsoft products, and if the keep Windows updated, they will be safe. (Actually, this is probably the slightly-above-average user; I […]
Although I thought I had fixed it, some routes are still trying to go through sl-st20-dal-13-0.sprintlink.net [144.232.20.83], and failing. (So, maybe I was too quick to disparage @nifty and KDDI?)
I’m not the only one having this problem, so think really makes me think it is a sprintlink.net problem - of course, there’s no reasonable […]
