After hearing so much about it, on the various internets, I bought and watched Deadwood over the weekend.

Very good stuff - great acting, great story, great backgrounds, just great everything.

It sort of sucks not having cable over here, but the compensastion is being able to sit down with a complete series and watch the whole thing over a weekend (it helped that this was a long weekend). It’s very immersive, and with a series like Deadwood - where virtually every episode picks up right where the previous one left off - it adds to the experience.

The down side is it will probably be another year before season two comes out on DVD.
