Well, I’m a good solid week into JAPN 114, and things are rolling right along. This looks to be quite a step up in difficulty from JAPN 111 and 112, but I’m trying to compensate for that by hitting the books a little harder. The pace of the class is a little slower, while being deeper, which is a welcome change.

The addition of kanji to the things to remember is not bad at this point, but these are truly the simplest Kanji. I expect this area to get much more difficult.

I’ve started accumulating my little own reference library outside of the text books, based on various recommendations and other reasons (just looked interesting). Maybe I’ll post up those titles.
